Feel stressed out with a busy, nonstop schedule? We are often guilty of running out the door and getting so caught up in the every day that we can forget to stop and take the time for a proper meal. We’re busy. We have work or families or both and there never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done. Being busy doesn’t have to mean that you give into fast food. Here are some of the best foods you can eat to make sure you stay fueled all day long.
Superfoods can be quick and convenient with a little planning and creativity.
Beans. We may have mentioned beans once or twice. But here at VIVOTRIBE it’s a healthy staple that we think shouldn’t go overlooked. Preparing beans doesn’t have to mean standing over the stove for hours. A little prep goes a long way. Cook your beans ahead of time and you can throw them in as a salad topping or make them the protein source of your veggie bowl.
Nuts and seeds. Nuts and seeds are an easy add to any meal or snack. Not to mention they are healthy and can provide us with the energy we need to get through the day. Chia seeds are our go-to for an energy boost that keeps us feeling full.
They can be added to smoothies, thicken a soup, or made ahead in a delicious pudding
(we’d add cocoa to a chia pudding for a more indulgent option).
Amaranth. You know we love amaranth–it’s our pride and joy as far as ingredients go. You can use it in a porridge or cereal before you run out the door. If you want the ultimate superfood meal, you could experiment with Buddha bowls and use amaranth, quinoa, beans, heirloom corn, and chia for a truly power-packed takeout. Add it to a yogurt to make a beautiful parfait or make some amaranth bars to pack in the car or your purse so you’ll always have a snack on hand.
