With the big games and gatherings that come with it, you expect to see some of your favorite dishes that are perfect for people to crowd around and celebrate with. Tasty dips and snacks are a great way to impress your friends and family. For some, it’s pizza and wings. For others, it’s veggie platters and nachos. Whatever you serve, there are bound to be some types of dips. Here are some ideas for stepping up your vegan dip game:
Cowboy Caviar
Change up your typical 7-layer dip and try “cowboy caviar”. Mix chopped tomatoes, corn, black eyed peas, onion, bell pepper, and cilantro with some olive oil, vinegar, sugar, and a pinch of salt and chili powder for a fresher, vegan dip that your football fans will love. Get creative with the presentation… you can even serve it as tacos!
Bruschetta Dip
One of the easiest, throw together dips is mixing lentils, bruschetta (you can buy it premade at places like Trader Joe’s), and feta or mozzarella cheese. And voila! You’ve got a delicious vegan dip that can be served with crackers or chips that will wow any of your houseguests.
Spinach Artichoke Dip
Don’t forget your greens when it comes to parties and picnics. You can hide spinach and artichokes in a mix of cream cheese, parmesan, and sour cream for spinach artichoke dip. This one’s always a fan favorite.
Bean Dip
Jazz up refried beans by adding cheese, sour cream, chili, and cumin for a vegan dip that will keep everyone hungry for more. Stay tuned. Here at VIVOTRIBE, we’re working on our own recipes that are almost ready to go live. Catch our newest bean products soon at a farmers market near you!
Bonus: Skillet Queso
